Ashtead Hospital, Surrey - Private Hospital Cleaning Case Study

Suzanne Whitton • July 14, 2022

Ashtead Hospital is one of Surrey’s leading private hospitals and demands a high level of professional cleaning on a daily basis. Back in December 2021, the hospital’s existing cleaning company was providing a very poor service, which was having a negative impact on their cleaning audits.

Following an internet search for reputable cleaning companies in the medical sector, Ashtead Hospital invited Rapid Clean (along with 3 other companies) to quote for the cleaning of their theatres, recovery rooms, Endoscopy Suite, changing rooms, toilets/shower rooms, corridors, restrooms and offices.

Jessica, Rapid’s Sales Manager, did an outstanding job of convincing the team at Ashtead Hospital, that Rapid had the right level of experience and could deliver what was being promised. Sonia, Ashtead's Theatre Manager, was very impressed:

“Some companies come in and make promises that I know they cannot deliver - I’ve been in this game for many years! Rapid spoke my language, and I therefore discounted the other companies.”

Nick, the Hotel Service Manager, didn’t need persuading either:

“Jessica was professional and honest. Rapid felt credible and after speaking to some other Rapid customers, we were convinced.”

Motivated and Driven to Deliver High Standards

In the medical sector, it is essential that the cleaning is consistent and reliable. In our experience, good management of the cleaners is at the heart of a successful contract. Ingrid is Rapid’s Contracts Manager looking after Ashtead Hospital; both Sonia and Nick noticed an immediate improvement in the standards:

“Ingrid is clearly motivated and driven to achieve high standards. She managed to turn around a cleaner who was previously very poor and is now doing a great job! She gets stuff done and is a great asset to Rapid Clean.”

Since starting the contract in March 2022, the team has instructed Rapid to do various other deep clean work across the hospital and Nick has been “100% pleased with the results”.

We pride ourselves on having the depth of knowledge required to provide an excellent cleaning service to the medical sector. Our senior management team visits Ashtead Hospital once per quarter, to ensure that everything is running smoothly, which is all part of the service we committed to.

It’s so encouraging to get positive feedback from a happy customer - you can’t get much better than this:

“We have no regrets whatsoever in moving our business across to Rapid Clean.” Nick

“My gut instinct told me to go with Rapid and we are delighted!” Sonia
