Happy Christmas from Everyone at Rapid Clean

Suzanne Whitton • December 18, 2019

Every year we choose a charity that we would like to donate money to, in place of sending out Christmas cards. All head office employees are invited to nominate a charity that they have a personal connection with.

Last year, our gift went to Crisis at Christmas and this year our chosen charity is Alzheimer’s Society. This is what Nicola had to say about her nomination…

“My nanny was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s in 2012 but was showing signs for months beforehand. My lovely granddad covered this up pretty well while he was with us. When he passed away on New Year’s Eve 2013, she declined rapidly and was put into a care home. She had been coping pretty well for years, keeping relatively healthy and was only affected by the memory loss. Unfortunately in the last few months she has lost the ability to walk and carry out most tasks independently. She is fine in herself, but this disease is so horrible for the family. We lost her in 2013 when she forgot who we were, but she is still here 6 years on. I would absolutely love to still be around to see a cure for this heart-wrenching illness.”

Alzheimer’s Society has confirmed that all donations go towards ‘helping support people affected by dementia today and searching for a cure for tomorrow.’ I am sure you will all agree that this is a very worthwhile cause.

A huge thank you to all of our employees and customers for your continued commitment to Rapid in 2019. We hope that you all have a happy and peaceful Christmas 2019.

LGPS requirements are often misunderstood, yet they can have important financial and administrative implications for both schools and service providers. Understanding the basics early in the procurement process can help avoid delays, unexpected costs and compliance issues later on.
